Now that I am in college, everybody i see is always using a laptop. The debate arises several times a week... what is better, a mac or a pc? I have always had a pc and find them much easier to use than a mac, but I seem to be in the minority here at school. Everybody seems to think that Macs are much easier to use than PCs and are much faster. I have never owned a mac so I feel that nothing can get easier than a PC. The Mac commercials have basically turned the mac/pc debate into a competition. I'm not sure which one is faster, cheaper, or better, but since I am more comfortable with a pc I think I would always go with that and not a mac. Which one would you choose?

I think it is a very debatable question. Even in the dorms I find that many debate over it on a daily basis, I think it’s funny actually. I find that PC’s are much easier to utilize in comparison to macs. I have used macs countless occasions and have found it much harder and way to complicated. Our society lies on the basis of simplicity not complications!!! Yes macs are better when it comes to prevention of viruses, but still, way to too complicated to the point where it leads to frustration at times.

ReplyDeleteMacs definitely look cooler and have cooler devices on them but I agree with the fact that using them is a little complicated. I know how to get on the internet on them and thats about it. But that is mainly because I am a PC user but still I will admit a Mac would have been the better choice because of the whole thing about not getting viruses and also they are a lot lighter which comes in handy when walking around campus.
ReplyDeletePCs are BETTER!! I have used both macs and PCs and i think PCs are easier, more affordable, and have almost, if not all, the same functions a apple has. Macs are all about the hype, even the tv commercials are a little hilarious...a young attractive actor vs an old nerdy guy.. i mean come on what are they really debating. I had this debate with two friends before leaving for school, they were getting macs and thought they were so much better than pc's but guess what... both of them had problems in the first month and had to take them in for maintenance. I think pcs are better but honestly this whole debating and competition is pretty ridiculous!
